Your first minutes

How to play Lagos Life, step by step

  1. Enter through the game website. Open the game link above, register if needed, and follow the prompts on your screen.
  2. Make your character. Work through any appearance, trait and dream prompts that appear. Read each choice before you continue.
  3. Read your birth-origin result. When the game shows your origin, note the starting resources, obligations and explanations that come with it. Use the result and balance on your own screen for your next choice.
  4. Compare the available starting places. Look at every home or student option actually offered, the cash remaining after the choice, and any recurring rent or repayment shown. Confirm only after you understand the costs you can see.
  5. Get oriented before taking a shift. Find the visible needs, Phone and map or travel controls. Open Jobs from the Phone if that route appears, then check a job's location and entry requirements before committing.

A first session does not need a perfect career plan. Your useful outcome is a working account, a start you understand, and a next action you can afford in the current game.

Decision 01

Choose from the homes your account actually shows

After setup, look through the home or student options offered to you. Compare the locations, cash left after choosing and any recurring costs shown on each screen before deciding.

  • Starting cash: what remains after selecting this option?
  • Recurring cost: is rent, a loan repayment or another obligation displayed, and when is it due?
  • Special conditions: does a student or origin-specific option describe a different rule?
  • Next trip: can you still cover the travel and needs shown before your first planned work action?

If a summary card leaves out a cost or condition, open its full details before confirming. Choose the place that fits the money and next actions shown in your game.

Decision 02

Watch needs and the time your actions use

Before travelling or starting work, check the needs visible on your screen, such as Hunger, Energy, Hygiene, Bladder, Fun or Social. Use an available food, sleep, bathroom, leisure or social action when a need is low. Watch the game clock as you queue actions or travel.

A practical order is to read your needs, choose one immediate action, then check the time and your next destination. If an action is unavailable, read its on-screen condition and choose what your character can do now.

Decision 03

Find a job and check eligibility before travelling

Open Phone → Jobs if that menu appears in your game, then inspect a role. Read its location, entry skills, travel step and shift details. If the game marks you ineligible, choose an available role or work on the requirement named in the message.

Once eligible, travel to the location the game shows and use its work or shift control. Check the result and your balance afterward before making plans with that income.

If a shift cannot start, check the message before spending more game time travelling. A role may require a different location or a skill you do not yet have. Return to the Jobs screen and compare an available role with what your character can do now. This keeps your next action tied to the game's current requirements instead of an outdated job list.

Decision 04

Make a small first-session budget

Look at the Game Naira balance shown now, the home cost or repayment shown for your account, any food or travel you expect to need, and the pay the game actually displays for an eligible action. Keep those as separate numbers. A projected shift is not money already in your wallet, and another account's starting balance is not yours.

Game Naira is a fictional in-game unit. The operator's Terms say it has no cash value outside Lagos Life and cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for real-world money. Optional real-money top-ups may be offered; read the live checkout terms before deciding whether to buy. You do not need to buy anything to use this independent guide.
